Sabbat were at the forefront of the new wave of thrash in the mid-tolate 80s UK, and their first two albums are probably their best and most influential. With fast, intricate musicianship, they took their cue from speed metal bands such as Raven, while Martin Walkyier’s vocals had a Venomstyle touch to complement the paganism-influenced lyrics.
