Luger Serial Number Database

DWM LUGER NO DATE MATCHING NUMBERS 7.65 X 22MM. DWM P-08 Luger. Serial numbers are matching except magazine. Used: P08 German Luger DWM 1917 9mm Semi-Auto Pistol, all matching serial numbers, 4 blue-steel barrel, blue-steel toggle, chambe for sale by Village Pawn and Gun.

Click to expand.Other than handling with gun, pics are the most crucial in being able to give you a reasonable estimate. Pics of any proof marks and if you can find any letters on the serial number (may or may not be). DWM is Deutsche Waffenund Munitionsfabriken. Without pics and only the G-F condition that you state; I'd say somewhere between 700-1300, which is a pretty wide range. Also if you have holster or any other accesories, this can affect the value greatly too.

If it had a 95% grade it would value at 2800 dollars. Even more with the matching mag you have. However in this condition 800 to 1000 would be a good estimate. But take some fine steel wool and bore cleaner & touch it up. It may help it some. In another aspect to the value, if it were my Grandpa's I would not sell it for any amout of monies.

Like I said, clean it up, oiled & stored in a safe place. That way you can hand it down to your children.

Big difference in cleaning and a restoration. Not sure how much sentimental value it holds for you, so you could do what you want with it.

I would clean it up and hold on to it; even though it's a little rough, it's still a fairly rare gun with matching s/n's. From the pics, I would think that it would bring between 700-850; would need to see up close at the pitting, bore and internal condition.
